To support our Glycoanalytics and Structure team in Martinsried near Munich, we are looking for suitable candidates for this full-time and permanent position, to begin work as soon as possible.
Research Associate, CTA, BTA (gn)- HPLC & Glycoanalytics
Your responsibilities
The Glycoanalytics and Structure department at Formycon currently consists of two scientists and one technical assistant. We cover a broad scope of techniques and are responsible for maintenance and qualification of several instruments, which makes this position exciting and challenging. The main tasks include the following:
- Routine measurements of glycosylated therapeutic proteins for similarity assessment, process development and stability studies
- Application of several analytical protein methods in a regulated environment (GMP):
- N-glycan analysis using HILIC-UPLC
- Structural characterization of proteins via FTIR-, CD-spectroscopy and nanoDSF
- Development, improvement and qualification of analytical methods
- Independent evaluation and compliant documentation of experiments as well as compilation of reports
- Maintain and improve the quality standard of the laboratory including responsibility for equipment
Your qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in a life science field or similar qualifications
- Work experience in a regulated environment in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry is considered beneficial
- Hands-on experience in protein analytics
- Experience in HPLC-analysis or protein spectroscopy is considered advantageous
- Very good team player, well organized, proactive problem solver and able to work independently
- Fluent in written and spoken English required, German knowledge is desirable
- Proficient in MS-Office
- German work permit is mandatory
